Appreciate My Appreciation

Hey, it takes a lot for some to be appreciative.  You’ve met them: their response is never appreciating, but rather fault-finding.  And, then others just won’t say anything…which is sometimes best that they don’t.  You work hard at creating, organizing, finishing, and it would be nice when someone would just recognize the effort.  So, when you do hear that sincere “thank you” or “great job,” don’t brush it off as just another expression of response.  Appreciate it and let them know what it means personally to hear their thanks.  When I verbalize my gratitude, it’s important to me that they received it.  In other words, don’t leave me in the dark; let me know that you got my thanks and that it was a positive experience for you.  It’s as much a responsibility to accept thanks as it is to give it.  I’m not asking for “mushy,” but do appreciate my appreciation.

Who can you recognize for appreciating your hard work?
