In many ways, the one thing that will get our families, businesses, our church and communities to walk again is to think God-inspired thoughts…strategies that will get them out of their paralysis…TO THINK DIFFERENTLY…and then to do something differently, against the established assumptions.
Four guys did just that... Luke 5 gives the biblical story of a house so crowded with people listening to Christ teach that they couldn't "seem" to get an audience with Him for their paralyzed friend. So, they cut a hole in the roof and lowered him down on a mat. Crazy, huh?
This is not a cut and paste, click and drag Christianity… When we decide to follow Christ, we are signing up for a radical movement that never sees NO as the final answer, that takes dead end road signs as only a detour to a new and fresh direction, that laughs at natural obstacles, and gets fresh insight on their knees!
Challenge your assumptions today…assumptions that take the pleasure and adventure out of life. What have you said about your situation? What have you heard said about your situation? And, what is God saying about your situation? That’s the bigger opinion. And, His opinion is not based on assumptions.
The radical, noisy activity of those four friends was immediately recognized by Christ as FAITH!
