Consumed by a Clear Call - Part 2

The latter part of 2008 was marked for me by one of the most clear revelations from God that I have experienced. I was on one of my prayer walks around our church's property. It seems that every time I pray about our church and the need for fresh direction, my time in prayer intensifies. As I continued to walk and pray, I posed a question to the Lord in regards to the relevance of signs and wonders today (a personal frustration I was dealing with). It was without any hesitation...as a matter of fact, the Voice I heard seemed to overlap the question. And, this is the revelation that came from the Voice I heard: I have called your church to be a sending church...into neighborhoods, networks and nations...as the agent for spiritual change and eternal impact. This revelation has since marked everything we do as a church. Our Catalyst School of Ministry began in early spring to train Christ-followers (the Church) to be sent out as witnesses into their neighborhoods, into networks (their places of business, the workplace), and nations. This is the call from the book of Acts as the early Church came to be and took form. And, as those first Christ-followers were salt and light, the Church continued to grow, changing destinies, influencing the marketplace, and ultimately impacting the world...to fulfill the words of Jesus before His death, burial, resurrection and ascension: "I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it." This IS the calling of higher living at Highpointe! Let's embrace it and embody it together, Highpointe Community, and invite others into it...as we live consumed by a clear call.
