THE CALL in D.C.

As you have noticed by now I haven't posted a blog in a week. This is rare for me. Seems like I've always got something to say. At any rate, last week I was privileged to attend THE CALL. This is, as I have learned firsthand, an intense national prayer movement that has picked up steam in the last few years. Led by interdenominational and ecumenical leaders, this intercessory ministry travels from city to city calling on God for mercy. This particular prayer meeting that I attended was held on the Mall in Washington D.C. last Saturday from 10 am to 10 pm. It was preceded by two days of a pastors and leaders conference with speakers such as Coach Bill McCartney, Ron Luce and Governor Mike Huckabee. I do not consider myself to be a conference junkie, but I truly felt that the Holy Spirit was leading me to participate in this organized cry for God's mercy on our land. Words to describe the event are passionate, unashamed, humble and determined as thousands upon thousands of men and women from all walks of life and ages knelt, stood, lay prostrate crying out for another great awakening. It was exceedingly awesome! To learn more about this prayer movement, you can visit there website at http://www.thecall.com/. Here are some pics I took with my iPhone.
