Why all the lighthouses...?

You may not know...I am a lover of lighthouses. Not sure when the affection became apparent for me...or when I started collecting them, but they are some of the most interesting and inviting pieces of architecture that spot our coastal areas, in my opinion. We also have a lighthouse as the distinguishing element to our church logo. Our church property sits on one of the more elevated locations in NW OKC. And, when traveling on the Kilpatrick Turnpike, our arched facility can be seen to the south with somewhat of a bronze glow at night. It's a cool sight! I firmly believe that God has called His Church to be the Lighthouse in the world. And, a church such as ours is called to be a light in our community. Jesus said, "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden." Keep watching for what will be called "Lighthouse Lessons": brief but insightful truths from the life of a lighthouse.

Yes, it does!! :) And you'll see lighthouses everywhere you look in our house! But there is just something so beautiful and compelling about them. They have certainly guided MANY safely, especially thru the storms.
