How important, really, is that project or presentation without the people to get it done or those to receive it?
It is continually interesting to me how the greatest resource of our work is forgotten amidst the hustle and bustle of our “to-do list.”
Have you met the “kind” I’m writing about…those who think little for how it comes across, how it is taken, and the repercussions?
I know…there are certain times that decisions are meant to be made, regardless of how some feel, because it’s the best decision.
But, the process, timing and explanation of the decision are just as critical.
Kinetic energy without kindness will catch up with us.
We will never be able to outrun the right thing to do. And, for that matter, we never outgrow the responsibility to be nice.
How we treat people in general is a good indication of how we treat our family and team.
It’s the quiet kindness that opens the door for the elderly and picks up the neighbor’s trash can that rolled out into the street.
Let’s remember this:
we can always be kind if nothing or much gets accomplished!
I Corinthians 13:4 – “Love is kind.”
That’s the “kind” you want to be.
How can you show kindness to those in general, your family and team throughout this week?
