BEFORE

Before you do this, you have to do that.  That seems to be the order of the day.  “Before” can be a complication or a necessity.  Some responsibilities get muddied by more duties; others require it.  (Before you sign...read the fine print.)  Good daily evaluation asks what needs to be done now that will help me get where I need to be.  It’s also important to know if there are any “shorter roads” to save time.  In other words, one needs to identify the important “befores”.  My heart was struck by the very significance of “before” in one of my recent Bible studies.  Proverbs 18:12 says, “Before his downfall a man’s heart is proud, but humility comes before honor.”  The essence of what happens prior…is communicated here in Proverbs as a spiritual concept.  What we are doing now – how we think and behave – impacts our future.  Personal, deliberate, regular beforehand analysis is really that critical.  We cannot afford the attitude that says I just wasn’t thinking.  It will cost us potentially more than we can pay – emotionally, relationally, physically, spiritually.  The Grace of God will help you plan to succeed.  Surrender to His help today.
Think about it...BEFORE you close this blog site out.
