Have you ever jumped to conclusions...or acted on a knee-jerk reaction? OK...It would be safe to say that we all have at one time or another. Here's the key that I've found to walk a little slower in significant decisions...: Valuing a Higher Power - of course, that Higher Power being the Presence of the Almighty God. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take." This is the key, for sure. And, here are some benefits I've found to doing just that: perspective (seeing it the way God sees it - the bigger picture); perseverance (going the distance to make a difference - not giving up); passion (not loosing your heart in the process of decision-making); priorities (focused on what's most important); perimeters (keeping weaknesses at bay). These same benefits are also indicators - that when one is missing, waiting in God's Presence is needed. Remember: Your potential is as great as your surrender; the greater your surrender, the great your potential. Now, value that Higher Power by seeking His guidance over yours...and go, make a difference!
