A Day of History

As I reflect on this significant day in the history of our nation, I must say how proud I am to be an American. The inauguration of the first African-American United States President is certainly something to hail as triumphant. And, though I do not agree on a variety of policy opinions with this new administration, my prayer is that President Obama will daily know the wisdom of God and the Lordship of Christ...and end up being one of the greatest Presidents in our rich history of freedom.

On another note...as I have enjoyed watching the pomp and pride of this day's festivities, as some have declared the most viewed event ever, I am reminded of another historic day...one that I believe is fast approaching. And, this particular one with imminent proportions, will cause all others to pale in comparison: "that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Just think...every name, known and unknown, will converge on that day to view Him and vocalize Him as Who He is! From the Alexander the Greats and the Napoleon Bonapartes to those you nor I will ever know... It will be the most awesome, earth-shaking event ever with a population too enormous to count...a true day of history...or better named HIS Story!
