LIGHTHOUSE LESSON - Am I Where I'm Needed the Most?

Guarding against my occasional slip into the world of "cheesy," it would be good at this point to say why the lighthouse lessons... There's much to learn about these enduring and strategically placed structures we can see around the world. The invention we know now as the lighthouse started with people setting fires at the edge of the water to warn boats of dangerous rocks and shores. Then the Egyptians, with their engineering creativity, built the first towers of light to guide ships in during the night.
In studying lighthouses and their locations, it has occurred to me that though many marvel at their beauty and historical significance, that's not why they were built. They were constructed to save... And they were designed to stand tall as a beacon near the roughest of seas...and to withstand the force of those very same waters.
I think about my life...and what God has called me to be...which tells me where God has called me to be. I want to shine where I was created to shine...where I'm needed the most!
Think about where you're needed the most...
