Some truth is good to know, and then you have truth that can anchor
you. We all have preferences that can change based on the
circumstances. Principles, however, are changeless and keep us firmly
planted. Here's a list of anchoring truth for me that immediately comes
to mind...guiding principles that instruct and inspire:
1. If you're teachable, you're reachable.
2. It's equally important how you go out as how you come in.
3. Encouragement is the fuel for tomorrow.
4. Success is best measured in how well you help make others successful.
5. Real growth reveals the need for more.
6. Relationships and community have to be intentionalized.
7. The greater my surrender [to Christ], the greater my potential.
8. Love is more than an emotion; it's a motion.
9. It's more about "we" than it is about "me."
10. Leadership is an art of the heart.
Take some time and write down your own personal principles. And,
feel free to copy and/or find inspiration for my list. Identifying what
guides you is half the battle. Let's be people of principles!
What are some personal principles for you?
