INSPIRE

The brightness of a smile… The attitude of “I can”… The heartfelt embracing of a challenging task… The new-found courage to try again… The growing enthusiasm to include others…
The byproduct of inspiring people. There’s nothing like witnessing the lid-lifting experience. Furthermore, there’s nothing like being the inspired.

I’ll never forget the words of a seasoned mentor in my life when trying to decide on whether I would accept a different, unique and challenging assignment: What can you see when you think about the opportunity? Though this sentence came as a seemingly nonthreatening question, it was penetrating and stretched my thinking as if my brain had elasticity. Bottom line – It INSPIRED me. It threw me into the situation as if I was already there. It made me think of it as something to be seized and not smothered. It helped me pack my bags when nothing else would.

What can you help others see? By nature, the negative will abound. But with a little deliberate effort, pessimism can be crushed by overwhelming possibility. Whether you are a parent, an employee, a supervisor, a pastor or simply a friend – someone needs you more than you know. Wake up their soul with something that will enable them to see what they can’t on their own. If you are being inspired right now, I’m doing my job…

INSPIRE – Help others see…
