Inspired by Excellence, part 2
The Pebble Beach experience exposed me to taking pride in your work and working to make everything as perfect as possible, within your control. One particular incident
that made me ponder this concept of excellence was watching a guy on the lawn crew mow a fairway over and over again. It looked perfect to me already. But there endeavor was to keep it looking great. This morning I asked myself 5 self-probing questions that I begin most of my days: Is my heart in ministry; is my head in planning; are my hands in the important things; is my health sustainable to my calling; is my hearing so tuned to the Spirit's voice? Going over such questions provide the type of examination that assists in keeping us on the right track. And, like the man on the mower, the value of excellence is upheld by giving maintenance to what others might think is good enough. Happy mowing...
