Family Time in Colorado

Our annual family vacation led us to breathtaking Colorado. It was refreshing to take some time away with just the four of us for about 12 days. Our travels led us into Colorado Springs, Cripple Creek, Denver, Idaho Springs, Georgetown, Silver Plume, Silverthorne and concluded with the Royal Gorge in Canon City. The weather started off fairly hot and then cooled off with rain and snow in the high country. It really was magnificent to see white-capped mountains in mid June. We were also blessed to connect with some friends from the days when we lived in the Denver area. As we left for home, the scene was warmly appropriate with the sun setting over the mountians behind us. We arrived back in the middle of the week to prepare to leave again for ministry in the western part of Oklahoma. And now, forward into the busyness of the coming weeks as our minds are clearer and hearts lighter. Here are some pics from our Colorado trip.
