The Church Ministries Network

Michelle and I have been afforded a blessed opportunity and awesome challenge in this new role of Church Ministries director for the Oklahoma District. Many have asked, "So, what does this new ministry area mean...and, what do you guys do over there?" Because this division is new not only to us but to the district, it's been advantageous for a crafting of purpose and mission. Three words come to mind when considering this multi-faceted area: SERVE, PARTNER, NETWORK.

SERVE
We exist to serve first and foremost! We are here to offer and provide resources. Some of the resources for adult ministries of the local church will be what we come across that seem healthy and progressive while others we have already begun to write and develop. They will come in printed materials and training events.
Other events provided will be such as the following: men's and women's retreats and conferences that candidly address current gender issues, marriage encounters to strengthen the home, missions trips for ministers and the local church, leadership and discipleship seminars to encourage more effective ministry.

PARTNER
We are fully aware that there are many local churches and ministries that have effective materials and events already in place. Our role is to come alongside and help promote these experiences. The purpose for the Church Ministries Network is not to see how many people we can get sold on our resources. Rather, we are here to be a promoter and lid-lifter for and to the local church and the ministries around our great state. We desire to live by the mantra How can we help you?

NETWORK
Collaboration is a primary part of what we do at the Church Ministries level. The knowledge and creative ideas for ministry and furthering God's Kingdom is wide and vast across our fellowship. Our efforts individually become more effective when we take time to hear and learn from one another. In other words, you can help my ministry and I can help yours. Therefore, we value your opinions, your ideas, your feedback.

Looking forward to serving, partnering and networking with you, your ministry and local church. Please feel free to contact us here at our Church Ministries office at (405) 475-1190.
