It's been a bit of a different schedule for me as of late. I'm accustomed to connecting throughout the week for the most part with a particular church body and building relationships with one particular ministry team. With this new season, the stretch of further arenas with more people to know and connect with is the experience. I am enjoying it because I love people. People are my business and hobby. I'd rather be with family and friends than do anything else.
So, this part of a new season is totally energizing. My first responsibility has been to personally connect with pastors, missionaries and ministers around the Oklahoma District. Last Monday began sectional councils for the ministers of our state. From the rural areas to the larger communities, it has been a joy to see firsthand the ministry sites of faithful pastors and learn more about their surroundings. This tour continues on Monday. Last Thursday and ending today (Saturday) I was privileged to attend one of our national fellowship's conferences - another opportunity to meet and get to know more leaders from across the nation. Someone said, "You will be the same person you are five years from now except for two things: the people you meet and the books you read." So true... Looking forward to further connections.
